March 21st was a special day. It marked the one year anniversary of me being in my forever home!
Boy, has my life changed since my days in the puppy mill in Kansas! I am so lucky, but my mom tells me she's lucky too! It took me a long time (about ten months) to get use to the good life i.e. sleeping in a bed, sleeeping on a couch, getting delicious food that is all mine, GREENIES!, and probably best of all, getting hugs, kisses and belly rubs everyday! Yes, everyday!
Also, because Mommy doesn't know when my real birthday is, we celebrate it on the day I was adopted. I suppose you know what a birthday is. I never did until now. My "special" day started with pancakes for breakfast! Yay! They were yummy! Then Mommy left for a while while I napped, and when she came home she had presents for me! I got iced cinnamon roll doggie cookies, a little blue squeaky elephant that I named Blue, and a purplish thingy which is stuffingless that squeaks. I thought, WTH? Why is Mommy giving me a sock? But you know what? I like it! It is soft. In bed, Mommy holds it up in the air and I jump up and get it! That's fun for me.
I am a lucky dog. Have I said that before? Well, it's true. And it's worth repeating over and over again.

Hello Maryland!
Hi Y'all!
I am Mollie. I am approximately four years old. My mommy doesn't know for sure because I was recently rescued from a puppy mill in Kansas. I was a breeder. Literally. I don't know exactly how many puppies I've sired in my short life, but it was a lot! I am done with that now thanks to the Westie Rescue of the Mid Atlantic. They brought me to Annapolis, Maryland, and that is where I met my mommy three months ago.
I am very timid. I don't know how to walk on a leash and I still pee and poo in the house, but I do it on piddle pads 85% of the time! I get scared when I am outside. I just want to be on the sofa all the time! I am okay when people come in my house when my mommy is here, but I don't like meeting people outside... yet.
I love my stuffies, especially the ones that squeak! I bring them ALL to bed at night. Mommy let me sleep in her bed one night, and now I am hooked! Mommy says I am getting fat and she is going to start making me go for longer walks. When I am outside I just want to run home and jump on the sofa.
Someday I am sure I will be ready to make new friends and play outside, but for now I am taking it slow. Real slow!
P.S. The pics above show what I looked like the day Mommy brought me home and two weeks later with my new 'do! Aren't I a cutie?
