Two weeks ago my mom put me in the back of her car and started driving...and driving! I had no idea where she was taking me. I was a little nervous she was driving me back to Kansas!
Nine long hours later we arrived in Michigan. Mom said it was a vacation and I was about to meet my Nana, aunts, uncle and cousins. I just wanted to be on my safe and comfy couch! I was tired after the long drive. Mommy stopped several times to let me pee and poo and stretch my little legs. I wasn't scared! Mommy held my leash really tight. She was afraid I'd try to run away. No way! Once we arrived, I wasn't scared when my Nana came out to meet us. She kissed me. That was nice!
I soon discovered that Nana had a comfy couch too! That was where I spent most of my ten days in Michigan. I was nervous outside. I soon learned it was okay to pee on the rocks by the pool. Every morning that was the first thing Mommy made me do. I obliged. I also went out on the grass in the front yard. Mommy never let me off the leash. In fact, she left me alone with Nana for one night while she went to East Lansing. I was so good for Nana. I slept alone on the comfy couch all night.
I did not have one accident in Nana's house! (Mommy can't understand why I keep letting loose back home.) I liked meeting my new family. Everyone was so nice to me. I liked lying out by the pool on a lounge chair, but every chance I got I ran back in the house and jumped onto my favorite spot on the couch.
It is going to take me some time to change my ways, but I will do it. I really will.

The Next Step
After the "little" incident with my mommy last week, she decided something had to be done about my fear of the outside world. Yes, I have gained a "little" weight, but give me a break! I've been having babies for the past three years and I am just relaxing now!
On Monday I starting taking something called Xanax. I don't know when Mom gives it to me, but I suspect it is in the morning when she gives me little chunks of cheese as a treat. I love cheese!
So far, I have been very good at avoiding going for long walks. However, I feel things are about to change very soon.

Sorry Mom!
So, yesterday my mom made me go for a walk. I said no, but she is stronger than me and she wouldn't drop my lead! I pooped and I thought that was that...now she'll take me home. But she didn't! Instead she kept walking away from the house.
As we got to the steps I ran towards the grass and Mommy lost her grip and she fell. FACE FIRST into the sidewalk. OUCH! I kinda felt bad, 'cause I kept running back to the safety of my deck. Mom made it home okay, but she had a scraped knee and face. She also had a HUGE goose egg near her eye. She wasn't mad at me. (I hope!) However, when she woke up today her whole eyelid was a deep purple. She looks gross.
Sorry Mom, but you do.
